Well, it comes from  a guy called John Montagu, who was the 4th Earl of.....Sandwich. He lived from 1718 to 1792 and he really loved playing cards. Once, he was with his friends having fun in a game of cards and they kept playing for a whole 24 hours!!!!!!!! Then, he was very hungry (like you during the last class of the day🤪) and he put some ham between two pieces of bread and.....a sandwich!!!!!!
